I was watching the Rockies playoff game on TV and couldn't help but think of all of you. Those poor freezing Colorado fans! However, I must admit the season change is absolutely beautiful. Embrace the cold! Send my love to the boys. No doubt they're breaking hearts already...
Welcome to Boulder! I stumbled across your blog kind of randomly from another site - "My Mommy Makes It" - I love this picture "Two Seasons Colliding." It so perfectly evokes Colorado weather! I wanted to share it with a couple of friends, but wanted to ask your permission first? Please don't worry - I have no commercial or any other sort of background, I just really appreciate your photographic eye! I am at wjkleven@gmail.com.
It is interesting that the changing seasons may elicit memories of the past. I wonder if Quinn is responding to this collision of fall and winter with his dreams of California? I trust you're finding your way, even as you grapple with the shifts to a new place and work to find new people to create a support structure for good living.
Here are the bare facts: I am the mother of three boys (ages 14, 12 and 9); I've been married for 16 years to a handsome and generous soul, Grant; our family moved to Boulder in August, 2009, after 13 years in Southern California; we have come to Boulder for its green living, good public schools and healthy lifestyle. I started this blog for friends and family and for anyone else who may want a peek at one family's life in Boulder. In 2012, we completed a major remodel of a historic home in the Mapleton Hill Historic District. In early 2014, we started a project of converting our 1920s garage into an Owner's Accessory Unit (OAU).
